Review Procedure For Deaf Pupils

Pupils who have been placed in the Resource Base at Queen Anne are reviewed annually or more often if necessary through Hearing Assessment Panel Meetings chaired by the manager of the sensory service.

All professional agencies involved with the pupil, the parents and the pupil are invited to these meetings. These meetings monitor, evaluate and review the provision (both educational and audiological) for the pupil.

Prior to transfer from primary to secondary school, liaison takes place with staff from both schools. Visits are made by parents and pupil to Queen Anne and by Resourced Base staff to primary school.

Similarly, on transition from school to college, liaison with further education staff will take place and visits to college are arranged for pupils.
