The main function of the School Liaison Group is to act as a hub where referrals of young people with additional support needs can be processed. Pupils who would benefit from flexible and off campus provision are discussed here. Partner agencies providing support for young people attend this meeting as integral components in the service. The meeting shares and updates information on individual needs and decides on the best course of action for the young person in question. The aim of the SLG is to provide a ‘joined up’ support service for young people.
