Department Facilities

The department consists of the following rooms:

  • Craft Room -
    Specifically set up for S1-2 classes doing and woodwork although is also appropriate for senior classes.
  • Woodwork Room -
    Set up for woodworking with wood lathes and other machinery.
  • Metalwork -
    For metal work including metal lathes.
  • Graphics 1 -
    Large room set up for manual graphics with options for computer use. (20 PCs)
  • Graphics 2 -
    Smaller room set up for manual graphics with glass partition to the computer suite.
  • Computer Suite -
    20 PCs plus peripherals for computer graphics and technology control. Linked to the smaller graphics room by way of the glass partition.
  • Technology 1 -
    Specifically for Technological Studies with 10 PCs. Has a shared store with the other technology room.
  • Technology 2 -
    As above
  • Design Studio -
    Smaller room for design, S1/2 graphics if required, and for S5/6 self-study. 3 PCs.
  • Staff Base -
    Staff work area with PCs and storage.
  • Material Prep Area -
    Material store housing machinery required to prepare material for craft classes.
