Queen Anne High School
Parent Council
Welcome to Queen Anne High Parent Council's Webpage.
The Parent Council was formed at the end of May 2007. The purpose of the Council is to work in partnership with the school to help inform and educate parents about issues that matter to them and to speak up on behalf of parents.
All parents have a right to have their voices heard on matters which concern them and their child/children at QAHS. Views may be expressed on an individual basis or collectively, through the Parent Council.
Before the Parent Council was formally set up a questionnaire was sent to every parent asking them what they wanted the council to raise on their behalf. The responses were varied from blood donor sessions for pupils to catering and litter.
The Parent Council has decided that for the first year it will concentrate on the following issues raised by parents:
- Catering
- Communication with parents
- SQA exan results
