Careers
Careers at Queen Anne High School is a partnership between the school and Careers Scotland. Careers topics are studied in PSE and pupils are encouraged to use the resources in the Careers Library and the services offered by Careers Scotland staff
The Careers Library
QAHS has a well stocked careers library, adjacent to the main Library Resource Centre, with a colour coded system for ease of use. There is information about a wide range of jobs, tips on job seeking skills, prospectuses for colleges and universities, ideas for Gap Years and lots more.
Opening Hours
The Careers Library is open every day.
Lunchtime access is divided into year groups:
- Monday
- S1 & S2
- Wednesday
- S3 & S4
- Friday
- S5 & S6
Senior pupils may use it during study periods with the permission of the librarian
Careers Scotland Services
Drop In Sessions, open to everyone, are held on Monday and Tuesday lunchtimes and Barbara Austwick and Joy Scott, Careers Advisers from Careers Scotland, are there if you need help to find information or have a quick query.
Anyone who can't manage to get to these, or who wants more extensive help, should pop up and complete a Welcome to Careers Scotland leaflet and a Careers Adviser will get back to you
